        ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The Constitution and Bylaws, voted on by the Association members, provides for the election of an eleven (11) member Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is then authorized to hire an Executive Director to oversee the day to day operation of the Association. The Executive Director has the power to hire and direct the staff subject to the policies established by the Board.

All bargaining units administered by MPEA have been certified by the Montana Board of Personnel Appeals and are Chapters of the Association. Each Chapter elects officers, negotiates their individual collective bargaining agreement with the assistance of Association staff and conducts Chapter business within guidelines set forth by the state Board.

As a member of MPEA you have all rights guaranteed to you by the Constitution and Bylaws.
